Having an autistic child some days makes me want to pull my hair out, other days it makes me want to cry and then there are moments when I see you, I find WHO you truly are and I hold on for dear life and I rejoice and I smile and I play and I listen to you giggle...they do not last long. You tend to shut yourself away, inside yourself and inside your room. I stole a second to watch you as you gazed out the window and wonder what you where thinking, if I asked you'd have told me nothing, or given me an answer that had nothing to do with what you where actually thinking about. I fear for you as you grow into an adult...will you be happy, will you find love, will you succeed and will your heart be filled with happiness? It was so much easier to protect you when you where young...
